Not bad.. got too many things to do at home and not enough time! None of them really important but just annoying me! Just downloaded the latest version of ad-aware to check for those pesky spyware cookies and programs!

@edwardm
I don't think using a cd as a shared drive would be a problem, true it can't physically read from more than one location on the disc at the same time, but in the same way a hard disc can't either. The operating system caches the files and schedules the reads from the different sectors in such a way that it can appear to read seveal files simultaneously. The noise might be a problem as it spins up and moves the reading lens around, but i think the transfer rate will still be a lot higher than your internet connection, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you just want to clear some space.
Of course you would have to have another folder on the hard disc for the files you were downloading.

EddWo> Oh right. I tried it earlier on DC and it accepted it as a shared folder OK but when logging onto the hub it didn't show the extra mb's on the CD??
Eciton> thanks mate. think that when i do get round to getting a new pc may as well get a fairly decent one. see how it goes.
