Another example of A2.0 ... Sorry SE

AMAZING!

It's a customized version of Android 1.6 and only has 5MP camera.. Furthermore, expected price: US$1156

Ha-ha, Sealover was tricked. It seems he loves each phone, which doesn't contain the text "Sony Ericsson" on its body. Or maybe he started liking Android 1.6?! He fell in his own trap.

Based on how good everything looks in the videos, I wonder what's delaying the X10 from being released immediately? Maybe some bugs/features need to be worked out that we're not aware of simply from youtube videos?

Hope it hits the shelves soon!!

For example, in one new video the qwerty keyboard rotation doesn't work, So still some minor fixes to be done.

Is it me or is the white X10 rarer than a golden goose's golden egg?

The white X10 is the one to have IMO. It's a stunner.

Honestly, while I agree that multitouch brings a better user experience (for example while typing fast sms and multitouch gaming), but if I must spend an additional US$400 (Dell "Mini" 5 is US$1156) for this thing only for multitouch, I would rather choose X10, let alone the 5MP camera...

Regarding multitouch, SE had said that they will upgrade it to 2.0 later... Personally I can wait since I usually changes a phone every 2 years, and A2.0 update must be somewhere in 2010... After this upgrade, browser, mobile games and another keyboard apps that support multitouch will works... Pinch zooming is not a deal breaker for me... SE just doesn't implement multitouch in browser and MediaScape photo gallery. That's all, and you can hacks it easily since Android is an open source... A guy over xda-developer is able to hack a closed-source OS like WM, so why not android?

For the 5", HDMI and 720p rec, I never use it anyway. 4" and WVGA (852x480) rec is decent enough for me and at least it won't make my HDD ran out of space very quick... In fact some DivX videos out there is encoded in 720x480, so is the DVD format...

Just look at iPhone... Although it missed some hardware key specs, the decent user experience makes it sells like a hot cakes. Same with SE, maybe they thinks that the lacks of multitouch and 720p+HDMI would not makes the whole user experience ruined, so is the sales. SE had made an excellent user experience by its TimeScape and MediaScape... And they seems pretty confident because of that, especially since most of the representatives ppl on MWC gives so many positives feedback after they saw X10 directly (I use social networking a lot, anyway )

Why do you say that SE customization is failed? Only because the lacks of multitouch? Wow...
Have you seen the latest video of X10 and X10 mini UI (at MWC 2010 event)? I would say that it is the best customization for Android OS up to date... Beats Android 2.1 down to the knee... The transition effect is so fluid, fast and lagless, even in the 'underpowered' X10 mini (although I agree that they don't release it yet )

I thought we should wait until it is released and try it in a real world before made any further judgement... User experience is more important than some 'godlike' specs...

Bring it now, SE!
