Ok guys, I've been able to connect to the internet on my pc using my T610's built-in modem, and I'm browsing the net FREE.
With this, MTN has redeemed its image with me.

Obviously. They kept it open, but are keeping mum.
I also believe they are using the free thing as a ploy to whip up sentiments back in their favour.
Personally, its not enough to make me take up MTN as my primary line.
I am certain that Glo is also watching things develop. If MTN announces lower or more convenient GPRS tariffs, Glo is likely to retaliate. See what happened when MTN increased validity slots.

It appears to be working.
The GPRS signal is location sensitive. I was at Ikorodu today, and couldn't pick signals until I got to Ogudu, and right now its very slow.

I have no personal interests in the matter. The most important thing about this development is that it has resulted in stiffer competition. I have always said that
it is never good for only one guy (in this case Glo) to offer a service, regardless of how much of a nice guy he is.
The real fun has just begun and more and more the saying,
the customer is king, is finding fulfilment in Nigeria.

@Mamba: I don't think so, I believe its congestion. I experienced the same problem yesterday evening. It connects, starts to load, then cuts off after a while, right?
