@ Kryptik,
Yeah,I really cannot complain too much. However,I think Mario's 7650 would probably take the prize for consistent service and longevity.
How's the T39m doing,Brix?
I haven't had the best of luck with Nokias, though. However,I still use a 7600 as a second phone.
The most reliable phones I have used to date have been either SE or,funny enough,Sagem.
Hell,if I think how many different phones I've had over the years...thankfully I've calmed down significantly,as 15+ months of P900 ownership testifies. The P900's impressive array of features & applications have indeed helped with this.
Oh well, let's see what SE tempts us with next month...

I'd have to agree, amawanqa. Some phones i've owned have lasted mere weeks, others like the 3510i have soldiered on for what seems forever... Guys, what was your very first phone? I remember owning a Roamer, a HUGE brick of a phone, complete with extra-long aerial and a slimline battery (which was the size of a 3310!)

@amawanqa: Talking of Porth Nolloth I've always been fascinated by the place since a science lesson in Std 5 when the teacher explained to us that it was on the same lattitude as Durban which had different climate alltogether. But first I've got to go off to Mozambique.
About my T39m, it's hardly ever in use...basically a spare phone when all else fails...I think I should be in a display cabinet.
I won't say SE's are the most reliable phones but a phone that I loved using when it came out was the Alcatel 511- the first phone with polyphynics and was waaaaay better than the 3310 which was in vogue at around the same time in 2001.

@ brix,
Yes,I have family who have had hassles with SE phones,namely a T68 upgraded to a T68i,and a R520m.
However,my personal track record with SE phones has been quite exemplary.
What a year 2001 was.So tempted by the T68 back then, but they were so damn expensive back then.I ended up buying the most reliable Nokia I have ever owned, namely a 6510.Towards the end of October 2001,Virgin in the UK had the Sagem myX-5 in their inventory, for nearly the same money as a 3310!Colour screen, polyphonic tones and an avant garde range of loud midi 'real tones',('hi-fi ringtones',Sagem called them..!)which included the mooing of some demented cow,a seemingly flatulent boathorn, etc.
Had great fun with that phone, even when I forgot to switch it off in a staff meeting and sporadic mooing suddenly eminated from my bag...
For its time, that was a damn good phone.
@ Kryptik,
my first phone was an old Panasonic something-400.I was quite popular with the ladies back then when I had the phone,as when I occasionally squeezed it into my front trouser pocket, the sheer bulk of the longer-standby battery and size of the phone made one look asif you were abnormally well-endowed...
