And for what its worth. The Google Nexus One has a 16-bit color screen...ie. can only display 65,536 colors.

Wow! What happened? Sealover, where are you? Maybe Nexus One is another outdated phone without any chance to survive on the market or what? And as I remember, it was running Android 2.1. 16 million colors, yea, maybe, but some other time...

It seems that 16 million colours isn't guarantee for success. Nexus One's screen looks very good, despite its screen is 65k. Anyone other pretending that X10's screen isn't good enough?

The only advantages the Nexus One has over the X10. Availability (hehe its already out), Android 2.1, and multitouch. Android 2.1 is not that much of an advantage either with all the software gap covered by Sony Ericsson's software customizations.
The X10 has a better camera, media player, and design (subjective). Hopefully it finds its way to AT&T like the rumour states.

SE's screens are always MUCH better then Nokia's even though they are always 256k and Nokia is 16 million. Millions of colors are meaningless but people get hung up on it.
K770 (1.9", 256k color screen, TFT) Vs 6120 Classic (2", 16M color screen, TFT) - all set to maximum brightness

Will the X10 eventually have 16M colors? Have Sony said anything about that?

Google Earth looks nice, too bad we can't run it on the x10 for a while...
