Yesss !!!! Back online. I thought I had a hard drive issue.

Turned out to be a corrupt file that would shut me off when attempting to reformat my hard drive....

Hey Hi Reo... we in same boat... I had many issues with virii etc & still got.. trusting Norton since ages is turning tiring..

@Janet- Hope it wasn't Lilavati Hospital.. So things have not been really that good .. Have you been on good medical advice ?
Wishing you the pink (red, crimson....) of health soon
=====those on wap...end here=======

Others will find this amusing (except me)

Go to -> . . .
http://service1.symantec.com/[....]&prod=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl=&seg=

click the + (PLUS SIGN) preceeding "Manually download" where it says....

Method 2: I cannot connect to the Internet

Use this method if the computer does not have Internet access or you would like to update another computer that does not have Internet access.

Follow the steps in this section to copy the virus definition files to a CD if you have CD burning software.

To download and install the virus definitions using a CD

1. Start your CD burning software and format a CD.
2. When the CD is ready and in the CD-ROM drive of your computer, go to Symantec virus definitions download.

WTF .. .. I mean am I missing here something or they just asked me to connect to their site... for a computer that does NOT have I-net access

Anyway...... the noob I am... mustav missed something..

This is blasphemous ! Symantec has no sentiments for *ahem* vernacular people. Calling up 1600221133 lands with a foreign locale (Australia mate) and the lassy straight on asks one (not using Ingliss) ' ..to please speak in English.. ' cause THEY are not located in India !! Tsch Tsch.. Whatever a simpleton whoz "lost" the orig'nal package of Norton Anti Virii 2005 supposed to do ? The product key *cough* *cough* as I remember *ahem* is being rejected by the server :( This message was posted from a S700
