Question for those who own XZP/XZ1..
Is there HDR playback on youtube?

Yes, but currently it's limited to 1080p HDR. On the XZ Premium it's the same. But it plays 4k non HDR videos fine.

With the technology still being a concept, I don't think we're going to see it soon, even at IFA. Usually, Sony unveils their old concept to the public as an official product is at least one year after the initial announcement. We might see it next year, worse case scenario.

Not always the case, both the WF-1000X and WI-1000X which launched at IFA 2017, were introduced as "concepts"at CES 2017. So no doubt Sony is already working on it no doubt and an IFA reveal is most likely the best place but Sony could also do their own thing before IFA as not to have other IFA products overshadow the dual camera phone?

Would be great if the dual cam setup finally brought in OIS. If you zoom in on the photo, the 2 modules look the same on the outside but the area surrounding the lens is slightly different.

I really wonder how sony will achieve good photos at 51200 ISO using a 1/2.3 senor, assuming that is the size being use on the dual cam device. Is there even any compact camera that is 1/2.3 and has such a high iso value? I fear for noise levels.

I guess the smallest sensor of cameras is 1".
The one inside RX100.
It has 116.16 mm2.

1/2.3" sensors have almost 8mm diagonal. The two sensors of Z phones are 7.87mm, imx 400 is 7.73mm.
I dont remember exactly the area, but I think is bit less than 30 mm2.

Which means 1/2.3" is about 1/4 of the 1" sensor.

I have no idea how this sensor works, but it probably has readout much faster than imx400.

There are 4 spots around the one on left. Does anyone know what they are?

If they combine it with multi frame NR the effect should be drastic improvement.

Since the Xperia XZ we have Multi-Frame Noise Reduction.
(For Front cam and for Twilight Handled scene)

XZ1 And XZ premium did not have this function in manual mode ... And hope they allow manual shutter to 30 seconds...

If you have a tripod it can be useful.
Otherwise it is impossible to prevent shaking for that long.

The older phones have " shake reduction" as SCN mode.
Does not seem to work.

An advice for those that only use auto, reduce brightness then ISO goes lower.
