there you quite wrong, SE uses similar software technique on c905 as c902.
(similar color-spectra, similar noise technique, etc.... (if compare example 2 tree pics in full size you cleary see that the leafs and everything looks very same,, (detail-structure, sharpening.....and so on).

I know you're wrong, at least when comparing one of your own shots with this C905 shot:

Am I the only one that can see a huge difference here?

???.. im not just talking about my own pictures. im talking about mostly all c902 pictures..

i said c902 pictures looks similar as example all this c905 pictures on Flickr.com.
(same color-spectra, same brightness & contrast levels, etc, etc)

c905 uses similar software tecnhique as c902...its easy to see.

the colors, brightness, details..... are very same
c902

I agree that color, brightness and contrast may be similar, but where the C905 is much better is the way it handles noise reduction and sharpening. Look again at the crops I posted above. The C905 shot, although slightly overexposed, looks more natural. The overdone sharpening applied to C902 shots causes strange noise, especially in bright backgrounds like clear skies. The noise looks like grains of sand. The C905 on the other hand doesn't have this at all. Anyway, I will not take this further here. Maybe a new C902 vs C905 thread?

Guidance guys, the c905 will be launched to people by the end of october, how long do you think it will be before people with upgrades start auctioning them off?

the thing is that when you compare one 5 m.p picture against one 8 m.p picture (in full size). The 8 m.p picture details gets (of course) bigger. (so example the leafs looks just so much bigger (in full size) against the 5 m.p.

if you want to see them against eachother, you should snap with 5 m.p on c905. (then you at least see the details in same sizes)

i still prefer c902 colors & brightness, but i still prefer the depth in c905 pictures, (all this 7 990 272 pixels does the work i guess).

Already now when shooting at 8MP, the C905 outshines the C902 in the way it handles noise and sharpening. If you were to shoot 5MP shots with the C905, the difference would be even greater. Here's the same comparison from the previous page but with a crop from the C905 after scaling from 8 to 5 MP:

@plank:
There is a reason why the C905 is reasonably thicker than the C902.

yeh you right. for its extreme thin size c902 beats all cell phones (even c905) in quality.

and like i said, if you want to compare details, its much easier to look at them if both uses 5 m.p resolution.

c905 looks very good in shrinked, same as c902. but c902 have sharper crops, (but with little more noise)

c902

100% crop

c905

100% crop

I think this is 2 big of a statement. You do not always have to defend your phone plank .. at times the reality can be different. Think abt what you just said.

Plus i think leaves look distorted because of movement caused by wind perhaps
