I thought the claim was that it was 20% louder than the XZ1


As for the fingerprint sensor, I am going to speculate it being on the back is just a temporary solution and won't be there for long. I mean fingerprint sensors under the screen are already a thing and JDI has their tech if Sony prefers to use that. I wouldn't be surprised if the IFA flagship used a screen fingerprint sensor and they left the rear one for the lower models.

The position on XA2 Ultra is much better. They could just move another image sensor to the side of camera.

So, I have read most of the hands on reviews of Sony's new phones and all of them are positive.. VERGE, FORBES, GSMARENA, ANDROID HEADLINES, etc have claimed to like the new phones.. They are comfortable to hold, stunning and just right.. The only complain seems to be from PHONE ARENA who as usual is an Isheep..
So the only hate comes from us, the so called fans.. IMO the sony xperia xz2 is a good phone that's there to offer value for money.. It should cost 700-800 euros and it's okay.. Sony has done everything right this time.. They gave people what they wanted.. But still people bash them.. SMH..
Also the only mistake sony seems to be doing is to tease the new dual cam.. If they had to show something superior, why then announce these two? Obviously the fact that there would be a far good phone to come soon would be enough for people to not buy the xz2 phones and instead wait for the big deal, however good these two phones are...

And I really am optimistic about the cameras.. The new qualcomm image processing algorithm seems very good.. Qualcomm even claims a full 💯 in DXO.. So really looking forward to the camera samples..

And please guys, give credit for what's Sony's done.. At least wait for the reviews.. The phones look good in the videos.. Don't bash them.. Please🙏

Two theories present themselves:

1) The XZ2 Premium was supposed to be announced, but got delayed. They wanted to at least drop some hints so that those who were on the fence might wait to see

2) Samsung had been touting the S9's low light capabilities, so they figured they'd steal a bit of their thunder by showing an even better solution they were working on that's right around the corner.

Let's see how this new favorite contender will translate into sales, would rather see 20-25M? shipments by FY18 March. When they already gave what reviewers and casual fans wanted.

As of Ambient Flow design the thickest point (11mm) quite fairly turn me off, want to see how XZ2P will turn out first then make up what to upgrade maybe keep dragging XZ to it third years of service, although I regularly make update once every two years, maybe it time for notch creator I don't know yet?

When form of Sony Mobile in 2012, one year later they took away green liquid energy and now in 2018 also took away side power/mounted fingerprint sensor, which touted as new identity. I don't know what they think about this but not surprise with those backlash including one from myself.

The first of the 3 certified was the PY7-21831A, this is the XZ2. Certified on 20th of Jan then 9 days later the XZ2c, PY7-24118Q, this had its ID changed to PY7-87507Q, next this was certified PY7-72474U on Feb 3rd.

PY7-44254H also appeared but this is just the "1. The original identification is FCC ID: PY7-21831A".

So the only unknown device is the PY7-72474U which had no actual dimensions in the FCC docs. But it just as well be the 6gb variant of the ZX2 who knows.

Well the teasing was wrong to be honest.. We don't know exactly when the device will be ready... IFA is the closest guess but if it isn't launched then? Well sony would obviously launch something there, won't they.. They always do.. So if the dual cam is not present at IFA too, then this got to be Sony's worst year.. I mean they already teased the dual cam touting some exceptional capabilities.. So why would people waste money on the other sony flagships.. Thus even if the new phones were good, I think it wouldn't affect sales much..
As for the people, they bashed sony before they bash them now.. They don't have any intention of buying xperia phones.. They just bash sony because they know sony is far superior than the other manufacturers (except for cam quality, but that might change this year) and they defend their companies by finding faults in Xperia devices.. The only people that buy sony mobile devices are the fans and majority of them seem pretty angry this time.. So M not hoping great things this year.. Tough time for sony..

While Sony did good by including a Type-C headphone-charger adapter with the phone, but I won't be happy with those dongles unless

1- Phones comes with two Type-C ports.
2- A better option, to have a port built in in the charging cable it self, or in the headphone cable it self.


I did a quick Photoshop of the idea just to make it clear, ofcourse It should be thinner and more compact, the phone pic is not to scale...

I think that would have its own consequences.. I mean sony must have thought about that.. Of course they did.. They did come up with the y dongle, didn't they.. At least they did this, while others did not..
Question :is the dongle in the pack? I mean does it ship with the phone?
