@TGP: Were you able to configure your pc to work with your phone?

@ambyzown: Not entirely true there. I manually configured my wife's S55 for Glowap, Glomms, Glodirect, Vmobile CSD, and MTN CSD,and they have all functioned flawlessly till date.

Aya,how did u manage to do 289mb, have you been downloading all the softs on the entire net?
as per glowap,
1mb costs =N=700
289mb is therefore =N=202,300 that's enough to buy a used car

@ambyzown: No joy yet o! This may sound like a silly ? but what do u enter 4 user name & password? I also tried it with nothing filled in. Also, I have no idea where d "data connections" tab is. Checked both PC & P910i. U are correct in your assumption that l am using a data cable. One last ? with GPRS am I supposed 2 be accessing the internet thru MTN or thru my ISP?

You very easily pile up on the mbs when you browse web pages as opposed to wap, so for those who are using MTN gprs (which is the equivalent of glodirect), watch out for the bill as soon as the service is no longer free.

@mamba: Yeah!

@amby: Check
http://gosmartmobile.com/data.shtml@TGP: You connect via MTN (GPRS effectively makes a mobile network an ISP). user and pass are both "web". You can also check
http://gosmartmobile.com/knowledgebase.shtml for tips on connecting your phone as a modem for PC web browsing.
