I too am puzzled by the lack of a lens cover! This could have been the right phone for me but that just seems like too much of an oversight

even the w900 doesnt have a lens cover...been using it for the past 8 1/2 months and dont have a single scratch on it thou the phone itself is quite bashed up....

Same here. My lens cover is still flawless and I don't use a carrying case.

The lens is recessed and I've not managed to damage it on the W810i yet. It is nice to have the physical cover switch to activate the camera, but I haven't really had a problem and the W810i is still the device I use most of the time.

Well at my O2 store, we got in our W850 and W950 dummies (nicked one of the W850 dummies!
), and fingers crossed we wil be getting a drop shipment of W850's in tomorrow afternoon!
My manager's says he'll let me have a play before I get mine on Friday!
I'm wetting my pants here!
