I'm a coder too but still nowhere close to these guys. For us earthly people its high level languages only (Dot net for me). Maybe I'll check this file handset_call.apf as mongoose mentioned and see if I can do something.

Sorry, there's no Handset_call. There's a handset_play - it's got nothing to do with it though. I deleted it and could still make a call. There are also handset_0_call and handset_1_call. They might have something to do with. I'm going to avoid this as I have no issue the sound vol on my phone and don't want to run up my bill testing drivers. i.e. phone calls are the only way to test and my provider doesn't have free calls.

Well I guess the loud driver 1st by mongoose 3800 is the best and has the toppest loud sound i ever heard in any other driver just have to play with some equalizer settings and u r done.
In my opinion aksd new driver is not loud at all yes hissing is gone but its nowhere around mongoose driver.Anyways just my opinion dont know whether i am right .I have not tried mongoose 2nd loud driver .i will try it tonight and lets see what it results out.
At last thanks to mongoose and aksd for such amazing stuff Sony people should learn something from them

the version 2 of mongoose (http://rapidshare.de/files/28510371/PHF_2_play.apf.LOUDV2.html ) is the best in my opinion, u people say it's still cracking with megabass, but why dont stop complaining and just modify the equalizer in the mediaplayer itself! or make ur own driver, cuz i dont think its possible, cuz askd and mongoose has tried many things, so let it go..
