Probably it is related to the Status icon. Do you see the icon before you open the Settings dialog and get the error? If yes then how exactly it looks like?
Quote:everytime I open SMP and enter my reg no, SMP immediately causes p990i to "restart for performance".Those having problems with registering SMP please send Email to our support address, mentioning your serial number, and we will be glad to assist.

I've heard tail that the phone restarting issue may be related to using an illegal serial. Thus, you guys who are having the problem, are you sure that you've got a legit serial number?
I upgraded my W950 from v1.30 to v1.40 without any problems whatsoever (i.e. there was no need for me to uninstall the prior version before installing the new one).

Let's sharply distinguish two independent issues:
(1) Crash on some phones when entering the Settings dialog. Can be solved by a fresh full install. We need more description for correcting this (see above post).
(2) Difficulties with registration. If this happens, contact us via Email with the serial.

Can you please describe exactly what and how "happened again", what it seems to depend on, and if you can reproduce it. There is definitely a bug somewhere but we can catch it only if we get sufficient info.

@Lisa
My registration problem is sorted now... I dug out my original Handango email from when I purchased SMPro, and typed the CORRECT reg key... happy to report all now ok with v1.40.
