@laffen
the best way for some of us "oldies" in here is to use an old fashion bankaccount. Please tell us where to send some money and I'll do it in the morning. Then I'll will send an e-mail to SE tell them what I think about their loyalty to this VERY GOOD site....

Laffen,
I will happily buy this site off you and continue running it for you. I have the money, and the people to do it. PM me.

i would say the most interesting thing about this offer is the fact he works for the panasonic development team. any guesses what would happen to the site?

@black cat, yes exactly! I pointed that out in another thread too. I would hate to think what would happen to esato in the hands of this guy... This post was posted from a Nokia 7650

I've only just registered on Estato but I've been using it for a while & it's so sad that it might go down.
I'm gonna donate my $20 a.s.a.p. even though I am but a poor student!

I emailed largepig's letter to sonyericsson & got this reply:

Dear Madam,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson.

Regarding your enquiry, many thanks for your constructive comments. You are
right in saying that Esato is an excellent point of reference for mobile
products, Sony Ericsson included, however they are not part of the Sony
Ericsson organisation and we are therefore powerless to assist them in any
way.

For further information on Sony Ericsson products and services, please visit
our website http://www.sonyericsson.com and if you have any further
enquiries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Andy Moseley
Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre

Doesn't look like they're gonna budge!
It seems like donations are the only way of keeping estato alive for now

can't blame 'em, dude. they have enough problems competing with nokia, and now another site to support? . . . maybe if the p800 clicks, they'd show a bit more consideration . . . for now, keep on clicking the banner atop the main site.
