The phone has been released in the US but SE USA nor any of the Sony Stores have a clue. It is available on ebay for us but right now its the Hong Kong Version with Simplified Chinese and English language pack. Should I wait for the Euro or US version or buy the Hong Kong version to be an early bird? Also, I will not use any other language but English.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I'd go for the 3G English version if I was you, what with 3G becoming more widespread.

I just got a call from Vodafone telling me they have the K850i in stock now and would I like to upgrade. I told them to put me through to the disconnections dept (they offer better deals). I ordered the phone and it'll be in my hands tomorrow. I got a confirmation text and email after the phone call to say it'll be with me by courier tomorrow. I'm happy as Larry, except my actual mate Larry won't get his from O2 till Monday/Tuesday next week. I'll let you know when it comes.
Edit: ...and the gentleman told me it'll be coming in blue!

Awesome news ricky. Can you let us know how bad the Vodafone branding is on the K850i?
With any luck, the first batch may be un-branded.. in which case i'll be sticking with VF, else it'll be O2...
EDIT: by the looks of the phone, theres no space on the front suitable for any physical branding... I guess we can just expect a permament soft-key to Live!, custom startup and shutdowns and a VF logo on the camera side...

If I am not wrong, all K850i's are 3G. The K858c's are the ones that have EDGE and not 3G.
