You should submit that car to toyota, I liked its classic looks, I've also seen some Mitsubishi Lancer/ Honda Civic references. and yes I want that for the next Need for Speed game

@tranced

thanks, yes Toyota made this model, I've just searched for blueprints (top,front,left,back view of the car) for reference so that I could make it in 3D and then customize it to the car that i play in Initial D Arcade version 3.

this was my reference for the customizations done:

@razec that's nice, I always liked white color, pure and simple

This thread started from 2D hand drawn, then became 2D CG works, then currently now 3DCG works

Something I've been working on

currently having trouble with the rig, the clothes just seem to deform unnaturally when the 3d model is moved. Can't seem to find a good tutorial on the net on rigging the clothes.

fantastic job with the details! it would take a very powerful machine to render every tiny strands of her hair, did you already use Mental Ray on your rendering?

currently working on a new AGE-3 normal these days, will be using mental ray but I my Athlon II X2 is already choking

thanks yes I used mental ray, then turned off indirect illumination because it kills the processor taking too long to render.

I saved up for a K43SV 9 months ago, got the one with i5, its what I've used on all 3d works and was surprised by its price in stores, it was a really good deal.

Our old P4 is still alive even when we accidentally unplugged the processor from the board. It was stuck on the heatsink because of thermal paste, right now it has no thermal paste but still works

^^ The i5 Asus notebook is a wise decision, for 3D tasks that CPU is powerful enough I'm actually saving for a new graphics card, I'm using V-Ray and a CUDA based rendering tool to offload the rendering tasks from my CPU, I have my eyes on the HD7750 card actually, it's powerful yet efficient. I need my computer to run as efficient as it can so new components with lower power consumption are always welcome

GPU rendering is really the way to go, the HD7750 is indeed an efficient card most programs being released nowadays seems to be trying to utilize also GPU for processing.

Another reason why I bought the asus notebook was because of CUDA support, it helped a lot in video encoding and I'm now trying to figure out what else I can do with it XD, currently I don't know how to use vray yet so I'm stuck with mental ray for now.
