I don't think there should be a problem with unbranded/unlocked firmware updates with this phone. Some people have reported problems, but I think a reflash is in order for them.

Anyways, think I'll just wait a few more days to enjoy it, and then update

I have a problem with the latest firmware and that are that the phone restarts it self and it says insert sim. But that only happens if I have the phone in my jacket. Because when I have it in my jeans it rarely happens.. Really strange.

LOL!!!! Maybe you have some sort of magnetic device in you jacket that affects the phone? Well you should just leave the phone in your jeans, if problem persists, see your doctor (joking).

animtion removed in file manager with new firmware !!!
anybody noticed atlest one?? what i said above. please reply me so that i can reflash the phone.
this behavior is happening is R1EA030 firmware

I got fw R1EA030, and when i enter file manager, all icons appear at once with no sort of animation.

However im not quite sure what animation your talking about since i started using my phone with only fw R1EA030, and did not use other fw before.

Sorry if this it OT, please delete the post if it it, but I didn't want to start a new topic. I've read through and there seems to be a few problems with this phone, but I love how it looks and really want to buy one.

My question being, since you all already have one, would you recommend it? Or should I look for a different phone.

I assume you are talking about the W910i, yes i have had this phone for about a month now, and am very satisfied with it. I would highly recommend it!!!!!

i think u also taking abt the same. when u enter into the filemanager all icons appear at the same time not one element falling after other(we can observe this animation when u enter into the organiser menu,games menu,settings menu, which is present in t old f/w R1CA039 ).
but the same animation is removed in somany places like filemanager,contacts, etc.
this animation is is present in all other SE phones.

but this kinda animation is unique SE phones, since its a high end phone why they removed such nice cool animation.

so i can conform that the file manager animation is removd in R1EA030 f/w,

kopstar : my be it can be added/updated to the modification/bug list of the first page. so that SE can notice it.
