Hi Jan and everybody else intresting in the Bluespoon.

I have wonderd if there is a possibility to adjust the end cable of the Invisio in some way and use it as headset for mobile phones. That would give us a head set with yawbone function. I and many others would be very intrested in such device. Since the first bluespoon not going to use that tech. Iam not a engineer so maybe its not possible.

I know it would not be with the bluetooth thechnology. But until bluespoon is with the yawbone mic i would prefer the Invisio which is already developed and manufactured. couldent cost so much to remanufacture the cable to fit to mobile phones.

Best regards viking

Epedemic: Yes I noticed that there is 2 different T68i certified on the Bluetooth list.
They have different hardware versions too (but so does T68m and T68i, so that might be nothing).
I made a comparison. Notice by the way that all the Ericsson Phones have the old Bluetooth 1.0b, while the Nokia have the 1.1 version. Oh well, Ericsson did have it years before...
For T68x, the "Type" is what can be read under the battery.

T39m(c):
Headset-AG, Sync-Server, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB

R520m(c):
Headset-AG, Sync-Server, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB

T68m(c) 28/9-2001 Type: 1130201-BV/-CN, SW: CXC 125 398/418 R1A/B, HW: KRH 101 001 R1A
Headset-AG, Sync-Server, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB

T68i 14/3-2002, Type: 1130202-BV/-CN, SW: CXC 125 265/326 R1A-R3A, HW: KRH 101 020 R1F
Headset-AG, Sync-Server, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB, Generic Object Exchange

T68i 27/6-2002, Type: 1130203-BV/-CN, SW: CXC 125 450/449 R3A, HW: KRH 101 039 R1F
Headset-AG, Sync-Server, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB, Generic Object Exchange, HandsFree-AG

N6310 : Headset-AG, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, SDAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB, HandsFree-Unit

N6310i: Headset-AG, OPP-Client, OPP-Server, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, OBEX, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB, HandsFree-AG

N8910: Headset-AG, DUN-GW, Fax-GW, GAP, Serial-DevA, Serial-DevB, HandsFree-AG

T39 = T520 = T68m.
The Nokias lack the Sync-Server, but some has SDAP, OBEX and/or Handsfree.
Our T68i adds Generic Object Exchange to the Ericsson coctail.
The new T68i adds the HandsFree-AG profile. You can find an official PDF file about the profile here. Its >>the usage model called "Operating a Phone via an In-Car Device"
Oh and the profile also describes how a the car kit (Called AG, Audio Gateway), *may support* routing the audio channel directly from the phone to a headset if one such is present. This does not seem to require anything special from the phone nor the headset. But car kits are not required to do this.

Maybe this "new T68i" will arrive as an upgrade to the our T68i's - maybe it won't - This is not something promised us when we bought the phone, so they might not. Afterall can't survive if the last phone they ever sell is the T68m, and we the users just keep upgrading it

I guess this should actually be moved to a different topic...

About the Jawbone-model,..of course its being worked on,..but it wont be released for a while.
The next Bluespoon should be a model with doublemicrophone (internal and external) for noisy enviroments

Theres no dates for its release as of now.

VIKING > About the Invisio. I'm not a bluetooth-engineer either, hehe, but I'll try to explain a bit about this.

The Jawbone system works great/easily on "one-way" communication,..like a wired radio. The hard thing is to get it to work on a constantly open line, like e.g. a mobile phone headset.
One of the things being tested is the microphone being close to the speaker,..when both are turned on at the same time,..and at the same time using bluetooth,...this is the difficult part,..getting all this to work properly,..but we're getting there

We have been/are talking about Invisio for mobile devices,..others have asked too about this,..I'll let You guys know if anything comes up

Bhaal > I asked SE at the Bluetooth-show about the Bluetooth version 1.0,..its not exactly a "real" 1.0,..I knew this already,..because with those profiles and features, it couldnt be a v.1.0...its that simple, hehe

So SE T68 uses a modified version. Its actually a v.1.1. like the rest

lazarini > Hehe,..Yeah, the Bluespoon will be out very soon,..the latest I've heard is end july + 2 weeks,..soooo

Regards

Jan

Lazarini > It should be pretty close by now. A lot of people would love to see the Bluespoon right now,..I know that So would we !

I'm basically giving the info I get/recieve,..after all I'm "only" the designer, hehe
Production, sales and so on, are not my field of work.

Its always hard to make a completely new product,..a lot of things can/do go wrong,..and things are delayed,...some delays you can try and do something about,..other delays are out of your reach/hands,..nothing to do about those.

Most bluetooth-headsets (Nokia, Jabra, Plantronics and so on) have been delayed in some way,..some should have been here months ago, but as we know with mobile products, release-dates do get pushed for various reasons.

Thanks Jan for the info.

Hope the engineers solves the problem with the jawbone soon

Since you are the designer, you have already done your part. So howe about you go down to Nextlink with a fire tourch and make them work a little bit faster. So we will get our bluespoon soon .

So which will be better in a noisy environment? HBH-30 or the Bluespoon? I need something that will filter out outside noise really well...as I work in a noisy mall.
