Well, I must say that the v really got me excited from the first time i started using it - something which hasn't happened anymore for quite some time now!

so it worth the money.... the last time i bought a sonyericsson i wasn't that sure (satio), but still its photo abilities are impresive.

Forgive me if I'm not going to try it out
but the v is not an outdoor phone, it's not built for rough handling (unlike e.g. the Xperia go)

@rog

can you give me some info, I wonder about how much Xperia V at slimmest point?

I see Sony and GSMArena state that V has 10.7 millimeters of thickness
it suppose to be at thickest point of device I guess.

Looks like this won't be picked up by any UK carriers but if I get a three branded one from Swedish or Finnish eBay it should work in the UK.

it doesn't look like chrome. looks more like a rough textured aluminum. we'll have to wait for a hands on to really know

It's not chrome,the frame is also made of plastic. Makes the phone light - really light, I was surprised how light it feels!
also love the soft rubbery back (black version). Love the screen. Love the new camera effects. Love the water resistance. Love the size of it it's just right. Great great phone!

rog, can you (or anyone else) confirm if the white version also got a soft rubbery like back? I'd really prefer that I want the white one, but if it got a hard plastic feeling I might choose the black one. Thanks!

Yes it does seem quiet on all the networks atm. I'd be surprised if the V isn't stocked by UK Three as it is in Sweden/Finland.

You can actually pick one up now on Ebay for £577 it's the Japan Variant

I considered getting the V, but Vodafone just gave my an Xperia T for free only 7 months through my 12 month contract which I was pretty pleased with. After playing with the T I'm not too sure whether it's worth getting the V as the design is the same, and *most* (not all) of the features are all software related meaning it'll be on XDA (which it already is).
