Low light looks better on Z2 with much less of those artifacts. You could still see it at full 20.7 MP if you pixel peep, but it's much less than what Z1 produces even in strong light. Only problem I see with Z2 is the focus.

They seem to be out focus a bit, rather than NOISIER... instead the noise seems less... there almost no white sparkles in the Z2, whereas the Z1 have a lot of post processing artifacts even in daylight...
Still I think the Z1 can shots great photos

Agree, specially on that rose close shot, it's clearly shows that the focus was on the far leaves rather than the center like the Z1 pic... while the Z1 pic has the focus in the closer part of the center, as you can see the far side of the center blurs the further you go...

So according to Techcrunch Sony's UI is very cluttered ugly and looks old. Really Sony have one of the cleanest UI's in android infact many say its the closest to vanilla Android you can get away from a Nexus device. Apart from that the rest of the review is very positive as we knew it would be. Well done Sony.

Tastes are tastes... personally i didn't even bothered to read that paragraph... when I read "It remains cluttered, fiddly and visually unappealing — with ugly widgets and gimmicky 3D animations to contend with." I skipped
UI's are way too subjective, moreover android let you change your launcher, so there's no problem
Personally I LOVE Sony's UI (as I love HTC UI and Miui UI)... it's a lot clean, stylish and simple... it has great apps (walkman album and movie) that make the entire experience cohesive and unique... especially the Walkman App, it is AWESOME!

^ I agree with you 100% I love the Walkman app infact the most important thing for me in a smartphone is the music experience above everything else and I do believe that Sony provide the best all round music player on Android and in other ways better than the iPhone. I love its simplistic yet detailed approch to how you can listen to your music everything from Track ID to the audio quality to finding the music video on YouTube simply by long pressing on the album art and hitting that infinity button (if Sony still call it that) it rocks my socks off its that good ha ha.

Absolutely yes! the only thing I still prefer in iPhone possibility to attach lyrics to songs... for the rest
Walkman all the way!
I decided to skip Z1 for display and speaker audio quality! hoping for them to be both better in Z2!
