This video only show a few seconds long recording in certain conditions. That's not very informative. More importantly - you posted it in the wrong thread.

Lol at the video.

Anyway...

I am assuming Sony may be onto a great opportunity with launching the Z5 Premium in November, the iPhone 6S, Note5 and S6 Edge+ hype will have died down, although these will be heavily promoted for the Xmas shopping season, but then the Z5P will be a breath of fresh air, bringing an all new and 1st 4K mobile display, new 23MP Camera, and those chrome and gold colours will have this beast sticking out in the crowd and holding its own on display tables at network shops amongst the iPhones and Galaxys.

When is Spectre out? If they time it all right with movie and phone release plus a great marketing campaign, I think they may have a winner here and may sell very well.

If the Z5P fails, it will be down to Sony's marketing, as the product (to me at least) seems bulletprof, it should not fail, and should convert some iPhone and Galaxy users to the Xperia brand. There will be a number of Note 3 and 4 users jumping on to it as many of us do not like the Note5.

Spectre is released from the 26/10/15 (UK)
To 4/12/15 (Japan)
The most common day It's released is 5-6/11/15

For Australia it's 6/11/15 where I'm at.

Looking at the price that's going around Europe it's €599 which in Australia is $953 au for the compact
( using xe.com
http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=599&From=EUR&To=AUD)

Which I can only guess each version up well be up by $50 or so ( don't know if z5 5.2in has been priced yet in Europe I know it has in Asia and now I'm guessing)
So xperia z5c €599 - $953au
Xperia z5 €650 - $1035au
Xperia z5p €700 - $1115au
A gradual increase with a mean of $81au
(from z5p to z5 $80au and z5 to z5c $82au)

What was the difference between z3c and z3 on Release?

Either way the only decision I have to make is black or chrome and 128gb or $200gb
then waiting for PlaystationVR (project Morpheus) 😎

Edit
@Xajel
Has posted this in the rumours thread
This pricing sounds more right
"Z5c S$828 (USD 580 / EUR 518)
Z5 S$ 998 (USD 699 / EUR 625)
Z5p S$ 1098 (USD 769 / EUR 688)"

Since sony shut down of all of their local and online retailers, especially in NA, I want to see what their strategy is for selling their unlock devices and some sort of store relaunching. Those prices by USD seems to be very competitive in NA, especially for the Z5P. Too bad it will probably be 1k or over in Canada.

Personally I do NOT want to see Stores get relaunched. Stores in the traditional brick'n'mortar sense ad HUGE costs: on-site employees, storage, huge rental fees for price locations like capital city malls where they're better serviced (Eaton Centre, Toronto ON Canada for example had a LOT of on-lookers lot of service customers and returns barely any sales), not to mention MORE marketing costs, phone costs for routing calls to the nearest retail store.

NO NO NO!

Although the brand is as big and if not bigger than Apple was 8 yrs ago ... it NEVER flourished based on retail stores. Authorized retailers is what works best ... let THEM foot the bill on sales efforts!!

Online is the BEST and have regional outlets. Use 10% of the retail store costs for sending out packaging for end users with device warranty claims as a free shipping ... this ALONE will retain customers: Client calls, package arrives in 3days, shipment arrives in 2 in same country repairs in 1 week, done! Don't promise loaners, don't provide that is for the END client to deal with. If you must use the old stock of K750/W800i/W810i/K800/850i models!!

Nostalgia wins ... least cost to operate your business on a GLOBAL scale wins!

You've NOT seen how your way can almost kill a company's finances and brand; ahem = BlackBerry.

If you where on the marketing or finance team and I on the Supply Chain or Manager of Finance or executive I'd have you fired for such a suggestion without deeper thought - on mentioning it a 2nd time. First time I'd have you setup with a meeting to isolate why your idea does not make sound financial, marketing or brand image sense. Kiosk's showing off products would be the brand better, not a retail store.

Retail stores helped rebuild Apple because they where still an 80/20 hardware product company ... they're not a 70/30 if not 60/40. Sony has LOT more services than music ... in fact I'd wager PS4 business is a 50/50 hardware/services company ... one cannot simply exist or sell without the other .. they're synergistic as a business.

By store relaunch I mean online store actually... I bought all my Xperia from Sonystyle.ca. Right now they don't even have a online store which is ridiculous. Ncix pricing is horrible, still selling old Xperia for so damn much. If they made z5 carrierexclusive they might as well just exist the NA market right now.

@Supa_fly the old Sony Ericsson flagship store in London was actually run and staffed by carphonewarehouse. Sure Sony would have had to pay something into it but much of the risk was put on carphonewarehouse. My guess is other stores were run similarly.

My guess is it's a protective frame.
I dropped my Xperia Z3 with display down twice and the display got severly damaged both times.

As far as I can see, even a tiny frame like this would have saved my both Xperia Z3s.

It is a raised edge so the phone doesn't slide on a table and slight raise protects it.
Which I've read somewhere.
Thought it was for all three phones 😕
