13,7cm is the size of an iphone or Galaxy A3.
Z3 is 14,6 cm and 71% screen.
The ZL ( ZQ in some locations) has same height of XZ1c
@moogoo I guess it was called just Burst Mode. User had to go to cam settings and enable it.
I do not remember if it had an limit of how many pics could be shot.
I was very mad when they took away it. Android 6.0.1 I guess...
There is a Bionz chip in there already.
Their cams have Bionz X now.

altogether of these paired with Snapdragon 835 would make nicely bridge-gap upgrade in 18H1
if not Snapdragon 845 won't make available in timely manner after Korean swoop all of first batch.
Eagerly to see if Sony slim bezel will look good enough to draw my attention
and will they manage to put fingerprint sensor or will make it own version of 3D face scan

Bionz Mobile is hardware.
This was an explanation on how it works when Z1 showed up back in 2013.
The newer camera like Alpha series are using a newer kind of Bionz chip, the Bionz X.

moe - they took away the timeshift or whatever camera feature but they've since replaced it with burst mode, which is FAR superior. the bionz in mobile is not hardware, it's software. that chart doesn't show anything that indicates bionz is hardware and i am fairly confident that it's software. they don't even want to put in hardware OIS, do you really think they'll stick a dedicated imaging processing chip in there?
plus none of their marketing material says bionz chip, simply bionz processing, which indicates a software process.

Time Shift is limited to 60 shots.
The one we had is like the Burst Mode of XZ1.
Keep pressing the shutter button and it could shot as much as you wanted.
But not good as the new one.
It lost focus easily.
I wish they could allow higher resolution for Background Defocus and other cam apps.
At least 12MP.
AR, scene recognition, both cam same time,... Brought by Sony then copied by others.
Do you guys think the 3D scan will be on midranges too?

Everyone knows that only now google activates the Pixel Visual Core (with 8.1 p2). The point is even without the dedicated SoC the pics are best in class with generic SoC (SD835)
People needs to understand that "Pixel Visual Core" will not dramatically improve the pic quality from the current state. Google build the Pixel Visual Core to accelerate the machine learning within the phones and to capture photos and videos fast and efficiently. But with times with better machine learning pixel phone will start to show difference.

The visual core processor in the pixel 2 phones have been used since day one by the Google camera app on the pixel 2 exclusively. It just wasn't available for 3rd party apps to utilize. The 8.1 update will make it available to 3rd party apps.
