the official pictures are showing a fake screen showing the k700 main menu. it even shows the "radio" item, feature which is of course not available in s700. the firmware of s700 is just 2 weeks old so no one can say whether it will be uiq 3 or k700/z1010-like. the firmware of s700 will be ready in 5 or 6 weeks but again, it won't be out in the market until q4 no matter how optimistic we are

For that comment about S700 size. The S700 is not Fat! I looked online on a bunch of forums and i found a pick of a side comparison of T610 and S700. Ill refind the picture and show it again

Hi everybody!

I'm kinda new here but I've been reading and monitoring this thread for a week now. I kinda agree with most people that Q4 is far too late for to release the S700.

With Nokia announcing the release of 7610 in Q2, people who are waiting for a megapixel phone will probably look to that phone.

I'm not really into the swivel thing since I don't like a hidden keypad. I want the keypad on my phone to be always right there when I need it but I'll just have to live with S700 keypad since I really like the combination of feature on it. I'll just probably have to learn to reduce my texting and make more voice calls instead.

I think K700 is not running Symbian.
Any idea on the S700.

If both these phones do not have Symbian, then they will be hard pressed to compete with the Nk7610.

As it says in the SE dev site: "With Java MIDP 2.0 support and a Java 3D game engine with cutting edge graphics..."

So, no mention about Symbian C++ dev support. It's more than likely to be NON-Symbian UIQ device.

umm i know the pics of the screen are "fake" but lets say you are a mobile developer, you are planing a device with high tech fetaures but you are not sure which operating system will you use because you have a stable one and a very rich one that is still in development, surely you are not going to show the public pics of the stable one if you are not sure yet right?
they could have still left the screen blank......

@orange, yeah i knew you wrote that but i found out just after i wrote mine guess i need a new pair of glasses
