hy!! can u tell me if simple serial or usb cable works to flash my k700 or I need a sync. station?
I red the forum but I did not understand:-((

just got back to me about the online firmware updates.
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.
With regards to your enquiry,
They are no software upgrades available for the k700i at this time. This is a new phone. If they are any faults they will be an upgrade in the future. However we don't have a release date. For up-to-date information please check our website.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again for further help and support.
Not really much to go on for people living a distance from a
centre

Lol unfortunately all emails go to their customer support centre (same place you get through to if you phone them). They only know about the firmware R2A041 and have no idea that both official and unofficial service centres are putting in later releases R2E001 and R2L001...if you are lucky.
Sony did confirm to me that the online update service is still being worked on but would be available soon.

me, who ordered a DSS-25 from Germany to France, just for my K700 !
I think, we are a lot in this case, and now, we are a lot to hope...
