I've tried last night to update my Vodafone K700 and the service says that my operator doesn't allow the use of SE online update service.

This means: for now it's not possible to update branded Vodafone K700 online.

I would bet that you would get away with it! But don't quote me on that

People on here with virtually unbraded O2 phones seem to be doing ok with the update service. Where did you get your phone? If memory serves me right, there was one guy with a K700i from an O2 shop and another with one from the Carphone Warehouse - and it worked for them.

It was an online deal - e2save.com, and they're part of Carphone WH so i reckon ill give it a go, need some sort of connection to the pc now anyway as i rolled over my last one and snapped it off! get them for about £18 inc delivery so only a tenner more than the cheapest alternative.

Thanks for the reply

Cheers Guys.

I just glad I did not buy a sync-station to do it!

Will try and get it done via a Voda Experience Store this weekend.

Seems like at least one or two people in this thread have updated an Orange branded K700i...

My phone is orange uk. It worked.

Also, I don't recall anyone posting any problems updating with Orange branding in this thread

(come on O2/SE - sort it out!)
