As Terry Pratchett puts it in 'Pyramids':
"What, metaphorically speaking, walks on four legs just after midnight,on two legs for most of the day, barring accidents, until at least supper-time, when it continues to walk on two legs or with any prosthetic aids of its choice?"
Come on, have a guess

3 old ladies go in to buy a tv set, they see one at £30 and decide to buy it. each old lady hands over £10.00. the salesman says because it is xmas, i will give you a discount, he hands each old lady back £1.00, but not being very honest he puts £2.00 in his back pocket.
How much has each old lady paid towards the tv (9*3)
ADD the £2.00 the salesman placed in his back pocket.
Where has the missing £1.00 gone ?

@mmsm - The salesman's £2 is included in the £ 27 that the three women paid , so £ 27 + £ 3 (discount) = £ 30
Am i right ?

Kami--You're mostly right. The store got 25, the ladies got 3, and the clerk got 2=30. No missing dollar. (quid, whatever...)

Here's another knight/knave q -
A traveller visits an island inhabited by two types of people, knights and knaves. Knights always tell the truth; knaves always lie. The visitor falls in love with a local girl and wants to marry her. But before marrying he wants to be sure she is not a knave. An island tradition prohibits men from speaking to women until they are married. So the traveller must ask the girl's brother, who may be a knight or a knave and is not necessarily the same type as his sister. The traveller is allowed to ask the brother one question to find out if his potential bride-to-be is a knave. What is the question?

Yes, light will travel faster (that's what relativity's all about, isn't it?)...
On the knaves' question, I have a question. Is the girl hot?
