Is there a way i can reinstall from my phones rom? Whats the code to do that- it contains the latest symbian firmware but incase i have a problem i want to know how i can reflash/reinstall from it.
I'm a little vague on what you want to accomplish. There are many reset codes - soft / hard reset - however these will render your phone exactly the way it was when you first bought it. Unless you've already done a firmware update, then it'll keep the latest firmware update.

ie. *#0000# SW version (e.g. V3.42.1, 16-10-03, NHL-10) - I believe Govigov posted this on 1st page of this thread.

CAUTION: FULLY CHARGE YOUR BATTERY -or- up to 75% BEFORE PRECEEDING!!!! ALSO DO A PC Sync prior to as well if you want to keep your contacts, sms, email settings (if using the builtin email app). I STRONGLY ADVISE doing a full backup on the MMC memory card & also on the computer this will keep your settings as well as phone memory: tasks/to do/contacts/settings/app settings.

*#7370# - Soft format - clears the phone memory

*#7780# - Reset to original settings

BUT there is a way to do a safe boot to disallow auto running apps.

No Autostart - While switching on the phone, press the "ABC" key (pen) till the pin inquiry to ignore the auto-initialization programs (and the MMC programs) - "safeboot"

@paul was either of this things what you were looking for????

For some reason now, since iv had my 7610 i actually prefer series 60 compared to se's uiq platform on the pxxx

it seems there are more apps for the Series60 than UIQ; because of the wide range of series60 models on the market. Choice is king. Though I could be wrong.
s there any difference in n6630 and n6681?Except former being 3g and with 65k screen.I Mean os version and cpu frequency and ram wise.
Cam doesnt have macro performance like the 6630. And the 668x designs are slightly slimmer - take your preference big booty=6630, or slim booty=6681. lol.

Yep Paul & I should be around for quite a while - maybe even goto UIQ IF SE launches an awesome version with no pen interface! Thats what UIQ3 promises IF vendors choose it. But Series60 has me locked for quite a while.

What Bluetooth app are you using there paul? thanks. Also what phone do you use? And which one are you gonna upgrade to?

Sorry for so many posts.

MAC users Major update to iSync v2.1
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html

supports
# Nokia 6680
# Nokia 6681
# Nokia 6682

for complete sync, after less than 1.5mths from allowing the 6620 running SyncML. Sweet!!! This is why I love the Mac. Will be transitioning over to that soon.

@coolfriend,

Welcome. If your considering the NGage QD, there are some things you'll want to know 1st. Although its extremely cheap, make sure you wont ever need a camera on the phone; there isnt one on all Ngages, also its not themeable - well easily. Still a built in HTML browser will do html sites with animated gifs I believe.

Now will this work with your current providers wap access data plan on your account, Not sure. Posting your provider will help others here know if its possible & reply. Also most providers dont allow access to port 80; which is needed for html access along with getting your email working correctly. best bet is to call your provider's tech support to find out.

@paul,

Dude that is one sweet phone! Like the soccer area, although not the best location, I'm sure it produces the best players - Ronaldo played in a field with similar conditions before being recruited for minor leagues. Love that countryside look while on the bike.

Havent found any other games other than Frozen Bubble - which bores me pretty quickly (played way too much double bubble when I was younger).

Those codes are correct. All apps that came with your phone - standard Nokia no 3rd party - will be there after you format the phone. There are some that you might have installed from the DV-RSMMC card that you might have deleted since then. Dont worry about those apps you can still download them for free off of Nokia.

3rd party apps like SkyForce, ProfiMail, FExplorer will be completely gone after the format, unless they were installed on the DV-RSMMC card (and that wasnt formatted as well). However for current important sms,mms, and say pics still on the phone, along with your contacts & such I vehemently recommend doing a BACKUP to DV-RSMMC (if away from computer) BEFORE formatting/hard-resetting your phone. Then you can restore from the backup & all set. Oh of note, any voice dail commands or vocal names for voice dialing will also be part of your backup; really spot on.

I hope this helps and cheers.

PS Awesome phone you lucky dog you, lol, so lucky!

@prom1

Hey the pictures actually look bad as they are like 500kb each and at 1.3mp resolution. I scaled them down to 640x480 using photoshop and due to sompression they look a bit ut of detail - - can u believe that its amazing right - clearly the best camera nokia has outside the n-series phones, imagine how the 2 mp camera of n series will look - - absolutely super I say, if the 1.3 (humble) cam of the 6680 is good, the n91/70/71 will produce super images 0 k750 beware!!!!
