I read on hear the Orange Stopped the k700i updates. Well my phone still updates as well as all my other friends. Orange were the only uk mboile company that worked. They ionly stopped it for a couple of weeks when SE had problems.
Voda and T-Mobile on the K700i doesnt work, 02 branded now do but only to R2AN.
I hvae spoke to the Tech guys at Orange and they are aware of the SEUS service and they also aprove of it. So let hops the management see fit to leave it.

Just a simple question...I really dont care about camerasound, speakersound etc. what really matters is if the "Standby Crash Bug" is gone...
Is it!?

We don't know just yet... takes a few days before we know for sure...
Had to hold "C" during entire update too... When it reached 60% it jumped emediately to 100% and said Update Complete... Weird but phone works and update was successful...

we only ever know that for any models when someone spots an upcoming firmware on the EMMA servers or actually tries an online update and finds a new version on their phone
occassionally, as with this update, se support mention to a customer/esato member that a new firmware is becoming available soon and that member posts here but there is no real formal way of telling end users that a new firmware is available

hi all I'm a newbie here just a quickie about me,
I'm an old sony ericsson user had 630 - k700 -k750
but I've been a regular at esato for over a year (or two

) just been too lazy to register, so I already know about a lot of you guys and I love the place
ok not to drift too offtopic, if you keep pressing c and nothing happens close the window and disconnect the usb cable REMOVE YOUR MEMORY STICK after turning the phone off and do the update again,
I tried doing the update more then 7 times and it kept freezing at press c and insert usb cable I almost pulled my hair out as my phone froze 10 times a day and I had to remove my battery (this is when I have my 1 gb sony msd in) it's a k750c (I had a different firmware then you guys r1c004) it's unbranded btw.
after I removed the memory stick it worked right away hope it works for those having problems too just make sure you install the usb SERVICE UPDATE drivers as well they were mentioned earlier here, if you missed them here is a direct link:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/d[....]_Update_Service_USB_driver.zip
you install these when it asks you before the press c thing just unzip them and locate the folder.
hope this firmware fixes the freezes if it doesn't there will be hell to pay >.

ok now that the new update service is available, for those who have updated, can you confirm the freezing problem has been fixed as well as the phone restarting on its own problem, has that also been fixed? sorry if this has been asked before.
thanks
