Can anyone please when Warid is launching EDGE in whole of lahore? I live in Islampura. and does anyone know if Telenor EDGE is available in this area? . I have Warid GPRS infinity package as I am in hostel, but it is too slow (5.4KBps)

i am frm Lahore as well. And i do believe Telenor EDGE works in all areas of Lahore. Btw what are u paying for unlimited GPRS? recently i activated Gprs on my warid. And its working fine to me. Download speed is 4kb/s hey why dont u use net of ur hostel?

Anyways. I went to Warid Franchise asking them to give me unlimited GPRS on postpaid. They said it is only available on line rents of 500 Rs. and above. Though I've seen many people using unlimited on 150 Rs. line rent.
Can somebody confirm this to me as I am stuck to using Ufone's 750 Rs (with taxes) unlimited Postpaid GPRS.

I think it should work in my area, but their list of EDGER covered area's in Lahore didn't had Islampura (Though that page no longer exists on telenor's website). I am paying 150 line rent, 500GPRS charges, and 25% tax, which comes to around 850 per month if no calls/sms are made other than 150 free minutes. And in which area do u get 4KBps?, I used it in Islamabad too, and there I used to get 4.8KBps. There is no Internet in my hostel, and I don't think I can get a ptcl line for DSL.

I've heard about your complaint before as well. At that time I called 321 to confirm for that, and they told me that it is available on Zahi 150 too. Try going to some other Sales center.

Thanks for the info. Can you please tell the download speed you get and any info about their Unlimited GPRS package, and if they block some ports or stuff?. i already wasted 200 on a dummy Ufone connection to check if its EDGE was available in my area, so I am being over cautious before spending 200 more on a Telenor test connection

asa lagata hai k in helpline walon se zayada tou hum logon ko inki services and packages ka pata ho. P.s. I had activated warid zoom unlimited 3 days ago aur ab mujhe i am confused k intay sms/mms mein keroghi ki kis ko?
