O2 (UK) Firmware is not available for my CDA102511/41 phone - R1ED001 is still the latest.

Could O2 UK users who have sucesfully updated their phones let me know what their CDAs are. I am finding it strange that a couple of people have claimed a succesful update with an O2 UK phone, which should be CDA102511/41. CDA information can be retrieved from the Service Menu - see the first post for details.

I updated my '3' K800i phone on Wotan to the latest firmware but since doing so can't do some things on 3 because of missing certificates that obviously 3 put on the phones themselves.

Does anyone know how I can get these certificates or reflash back to '3' brnaded firmware. Can't download any games from Planet 3, opertaion failed message is received but I am still charged for the privledge. This is the same for things like MSN etc.

Had a look at certificates on my phone before and after and there are certidicates definetly missing, any help appreciated.

I have a Bond K800i from Hong Kong. All Bond themes were kept when I upgraded to GB firmware with SEUS.

My reception on T-Mobile USA in Los Angeles, CA has also been improved to five bars.

What I know PS is Packet Service, meaning GPRS, which charges you for each kilobyte you use, while CS is Circuit Switched, meaning it charges for how long you use internet. PS is using IP address while CS dial up number. PS is faster than CS and in some cases is cheaper. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok thank u, let's say we choose PS, which one is faster?? the one u r on gsm networks only or the other one which u have gsm and 3g networks???

If you have activated 3g for your sim card, always use 2g and 3g. If not choose 2g so the phone will not try to find 3g signal and waste batt power. When available, 3g is faster than plain gprs. Check the 3g icon next to signal strength icon. If it is there then you get 3g signal.

Hi, I tried to upgrade my EROM via Wotanserver just now. The credits left are still 10, and Wotan detected my phone CID 51 just fine...it said that my EROM is way too old...I followed the instruction, pressing 2 and 5 together...and it started to update mine. Yet, it said that EROM: Upgrade header failed or something. It showed FAILED. Have tried 10 times with the same result. Can anyone help? I did so because my mate offered me his Wotan Credits...what's wrong? Is it because of CID 51 EROM?

Anyway, my phone's EROM is still R3A011...
