Really hope we get an fw update from SE soon, the camera battery drain issue is driving me mad! Fair enough a reboot will sort out, but that's a pain.

Also need to address the stability issues with the timescape widget.

Other than that... a great phone. Still dead impressed by the screen, camera and general responsiveness of the OS compared to the lag I got on the X10.

I just updated to 3.0.A.2.184. Is that the latest? Was prompted by the automatic update tool just the other day. Generic UK.

Yup, it different HSPA+ band supports which LT15i covered for 900/2100 but LT15a covered for 850/1900/2100.

Also want to know if it was real though, because in Rogers website published that their LT15a has capability to use HSPA+ up to 14.4Mbps but regular model (LT15i) maximum only 7.2 Mbps.

Well I've done the deed and bought myself a sim free from ebay (not a bad deal actually) but necessitated by my darling hubby not checking pockets when doing a wash. I now have a very clean but very dead vivaz.

So far I am liking but didn't expect anything else coming from a vivaz.

Just a couple of things though.

Firstly I bought a couple of jelly covers to protect it but when the cover is on any photos have a tinge of the colour of the cover even though there is a hole for the camera.

Secondly I do have a question being an android novice - how do I create contact groups?

Thanks in aticipation of your help.

Hi everyone!

Just got my Arc today. and charging it up now

I can see the notification lamp is Orange whilst charging. Does it turn Green when finished?

edit - yes it does

I guess these days a looooooong charge is unnecessary!

second question - anyone using the supplied screen protectors?

Off to do a search

@ofiaich

I'm still using the pre-applied shatter protector, the separate screen protector is still in the box. Really impressed with the smoothness and flatness of the pre-applied thing, it really is silky, although not really put it to the test with it's scratch resistance. OT:How is your friend's X10 nowadays?

Hi Ricky D!
thanks! I think I will leave the other screen protectors in the box too! I was never good at applying them.

Do you use any kind of carrying case or pouch for your Arc?

Just transferring files to a 16 gb card and then I will set the Arc up!

My friend is enjoying her X10 but she lets it bump around in her bag with tonnes of other things!

Does anyone know if o2 pay and go phones are unlocked these days? Just I noticed the Arc is only £359.99 on the o2 website as appose to the £420 sim free on most websites. Thought I would mention it as that's quite a big difference.

toney, if you have a usage history of sufficient top ups level (It's EUR140 in Ireland), O2 will give you the unlock code.

If you don't, register the phone to a friend's O2 number that does have the sufficient credit history in topping up on PAYG and then just tap it in to your new Arc when it arrives to your friend's number by SMS

BTW, Guys, anyone got any good mind map app for Arc? I love using it on my PC and would like to use one on my huge screened Arc now - if I could synch mind maps between phone and laptop that would be even better!
