So torn... Been fuming for a little while, but trying not to write.....
@sealover, please could you pay attention to what people say, and be more careful when you type? I think that the tone of most of your posts, calling anyone who doesn't agree with you "kids", the numerous emoticons and the fact that you sign off by saying you expect some form of personal attack is what causes the trouble...Seems perhaps this is what you want..Not me I come to this forum looking for real info, on any occasion since you posted the picture of the Lexus' interior, when you have been asked a speciic question, you have failed to answer it.So let's try again.
What was that a photo of? Is it a Lexus prototype on display at one of the Motorshows?
What is your definition of success?
Where do you get your info re: the Q2 release, other than that seeming almost inevitable as it's almost March and the UK site still says TBC?
Where are you getting your info about the iPhone release date, and can you share any more of the Specs? I understand that you couldn't name a source, but you could perhaps say that you have spoken to someone who works for Apple in some respect?
Your comment about the single touch screen also interests me, someone a good few pages back mentioned some quite technical points about a 1000, 2000, and 3000 hardware spec for this. Is this a hardware issue, or just anotehr reference to the lack of pinch zooming at release?
Have you even handled or used the X10, as whilst there are some reservations about it, I have not read a single review that is as damning of it as your comments?
Most commentators have said how nice it feels quality too, and one guy that has one has told me that:
"The iphone is good but the x10 is miles better
The Timescape application is mind blowing and the camera face recognition software and setting is brilliant"
On what do you base your statement that the phone is soooooo slow? In every video that I see, it seems to be improving all of the time.
I don't know if I have broken some sort of etiquette by responding to you, and I don't really care. I really would like some answers to what I feel are fairly interesting questions, then perhaps we could all learn something?
So please enlighten us?

and like i said earlier, you're the only childish one here. could you use any more smilies, seriously....
@all
while sealover enjoys playing with his x10, surely he is actually using one as he keeps going on about the speed of the device, any one in Indonesia able to confirm that 1st week of March release?

You have some valid points, but regardless of that, you are really a forum troll. Criticism is ok, but this post really added nothing to this thread.

Well i guess that the X10 really is coming out in March. As ENGADGET covered the live MWC conference of SE, Lennard Hoornik, head of marketing said that it would indeed launch in march. Even though he wasnt very expecific about it.
Heres what he said:
7:42PM Now he's talking up the X10, "LAUNCHING NEXT MONTH", saying that the phone gets a ridiculous number of hits on Twitter and Sony Ericsson's own website.
Heres the link to the entire live coverage by engadget:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/[....]ons-mwc-2010-press-conference/
Please keep in mind that this was earlier this month so if he said next month then it would mean MARCH!!!

Thanks for all of the great info posted here! I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on an X10 but I live in the US and currently have AT&T as my carrier. I'm wondering if the X10i will work with 3G on my AT&T service or if I will have to wait for the X10a?? Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

I too live in the US. New York city to be exact and i too will get this phone ASAP. The answer to your question is NO, the X10i will not work on AT&Ts 3G network because it doesn't have the required bands. You're gonna have to wait for the X10a. The X10i however does have the T-Mobile USA 3G bands which forces me to happily buy that version. Below is a breakdown of the GSM/3G bands.
X10i Networks:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS/HSPA 900/1700/2100 (1700/2100 is compatible with TMO USA)
X10a Networks:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS/HSPA 800/850/1900 (850/1900 is compatible with AT&T)
I hope i cleared everything up!!!

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. Now I'll just have to find a way of getting around AT&T's ETF...

@ Decobra98:
There's actually a rumor going around that the XPERIA X10a is actually going to AT&T. So i suggest you wait a bit just to see what happens. The rumor puts it it for a MAY/JUNE release on the carrier. I however have T-Mobile and will have to buy the phone unsubsidized. I can't wait for this!!!!
