@Rob, which provider are you with? I think it's cool that vodacom are reducing their tariffs, so all providers will follow,

@celltech: I'm with Nashua Mobile.
When I first heard the news on Friday evening it went something like "Vodacom to reduce all weekday peak time calls by 50%". Not quite accurate, only between 5pm and 8pm. But still, its a start...
Starts 1st October for contract subscribers.

Yep, my wife's with Nashua as well. She spoke to them on Sat, was told the similar story. With any luck a mini-price war may erupt...

@ 786KBR
I presume that would be with a "new" contract, not an upgrade/renewed subscription...?

as far as i know the reason for cracking java faster is because java is less secure. i may be wrong, thats just what one of my tech buddies told me

Standing inside the Teljoy Voda shop at the mall, just showed this thread to the sales manager who claims the K750i isn't available in South Africa yet.... Blooming numpty... They're really 5steps behind the rest of the country. @ Rhino, thanx mate, it's what i've been told as well. Was just curious as to the dynamics.
