hi i have a k750i on o2 network with firmwire r1l. Just wanted to ask you guys who are experienced in the field is it worth doing a software upgrade? sure i'd like louder call volume and radio but my phone doesn't crash or anything. Also i've heard stuff about memory file corruption. is there a way to get around this and do you have any tips for using the update service (as i've never used it before) Thanks in advance for all your help

As i wrote to another poster:

It´s not recommended that you upgrade your phone´s firmware if you have the firmware version: R1L002 because the newer firmwares actually makes your phone worse and lesser. If you already have later versions of the firmware (other firmware then R1L002) then i recommend you to wait for a newer firmware. The new firmware sucks bigtime and if you upgrade you will only open your own personal pandoras box.If you keep an eye on esato forums then you will surely see when the new firmware turns up (people here will then start new threads and discuss it) or you might find it in other "soft ware threads" here. It might sound harsh but let other test the newer firmwares and give their input before you upgrade.

You REALLY want to understand how it gets fixed? Check my post...:

And know how SE works, and how they DON'T have access to R1L002 to rollback.

I had my K750 replaced with a new one. It's manufactured week 42 and it came with R1N035 pre-installed.

1) No bugs with R1N035 on this phone! Not even when writing files using DCU60. The problems with R1N035 seems due only when updating through SEUS.

2) The battery cover isn't as "impossible" to take off any more. They did something to make it smoother ... the whole casing seems better in quality.

@BUFFBOY

It's a K750i. Just to clear things out though: SE didn't "replace" it! I sold my old one and bought a new.

Hallo folks,
I'm reading this forums since I've got my K750i 3 weeks ago (actually I'm reading since the begining, but I've registered recently ), and I haven't experienced all the problems stated here either. My phone is manifactured week 32, it came with R1L002 and I've upgraded it through SEUS with R1N035. And I like the new firmware, the main part when I transfer with bluetooth i don't have to confirm each item.

What software are you using for transferring files to the phone?
I've tried WinXP, FMA, MyPhoneExplorer, SE File manager and my K750 _always_ needed comfirmation on each file I sent.

Did anyone else come across the problem that ive posted in the other thread? The Miss's is giving me grief for breaking her phone, lol.

From the other thread....

'Just having a problem updating one of the K750's. Mine Updates without a problem, but the girlfriends crashes at around 58% complete. The phone is operational but now the Camera doesnt work and says 'Wrong camera driver version (0.9). Please update camera driver to 4.5 or later'. Tried to run the update update service 3 times, but with no luck. the software version when checked is R1N035 so its seems its part updated

Thanks for any help '
