Found a new bug on R1GB001: when I answer a call and hang up afterwards, the keylight stays off! To fix this you will have to put the keys on to lock and the lights are fixed. Very irritating...

Sorry no O2 or any Carrier specific FW. All those are non-branded firmware files.

Hi
I had a k800, branded on orange network until today...
tryed to update to R1GB001 on SEUS... evrthng ok until 67%... than it started from tha start of Update Service.... now the phone is working, but i have no more light on keypad and dispaly...
..tryed to reflash it two more times with seus - tha same fatal end - 67%....
any ideea why..?
I'm having the exact same problem, I got someone to ring me to see if the phone screen would light up but it doesn't, making it very hard to see who's phoning >_>
Is there a way to use the generic firmware on an orange-locked phone or will it break it? Should I just wait for a fix?

Other finding on R1GB001:
Very very occassionaly the phone is unable to display the 'green balls of volume' when you press the volume key on the right side of the phone. When you are playing music via Media Player or File Manager, then trying to turn up or down the volume, the phone works normal as intended, BUT very very occassionally fails to display the volume status. It has happened twice on my phone. The only solution to get it back is by restarting the phone. I still don't know how to reproduce this malfunction intentionally, as it is highly intermittent. For most days, this never happens at all.
i get that too sometimes, i had this issue with both R1EG001 and the new firmware. All i do is to go back to the standby screen by holding ther back key down and then locking and unlocking the keypad. That solves the problem for me...
I updated my phone to R1GB001 today using SEUS. All went smoothly

. The games and applications folders work fine although when i start an application/game for the first time following the update, i think the app reinstalls itself before starting. I think this could be bcos of the java update from v7.1 to 7.2.

I have updated my firmware to R1ED001, but when synchronizing with MS Outlook contacts, the following happens:
1. Phone freezes at "Sending 277"
2. Sync Summary shows:
Items synchronised: 0
Errors: 1 General
Error due to: No connection - OR_MPM_OBEX_OP_TIMEOUT
3. Phone restarts to USB connection screen for selecting File Transfer, Phone Mode or Print Pic
Anyone knows how to overcome this problem?
R1GB001 solved this problem.

So, the intermittant missing volume indicator is confirmed. I experienced it randomly, many times, and suddenly it comes back by itself some time later or by rebooting the phone.

I think I have noticed that on previous firmwares too. I don't believe that it is a new bug in R1GB, although I have to say that I haven't added it to the first post despite seeing it myself

. Can anyone remember when they first noticed this issue?

I just installed R1GB001 over the 3G network, it took about 10 minutes in all. So far, I haven't foticed any problems, but on the other hand, I haven't noticed any significant improvements either. One difference is, that the selected icon on the "desktop" is now kind of flashing, which is somewhat irritating compared to the prevous behaviour, when it was only slightly enlarged and with the highlight image behind it.
