We'll looks like the TOuch FLo GUI as well works. It auto rotates to landscape even on the home screen . Its all in the link, I cant be bothered searching for the posts, but I think the same chap from unwired, Arne tested it. GAutoRotate works on the home screen as well using the GSensor.
I dont see you specifying ONLY TouchFLo does'nt auto rotate anywhere in your post
Also, check out this about the TouchPro. It does the same "landscape-only-when-the-keyboard-is-open" feature as the X1 (both don't use their accelerometers to do landscape switching). Also, the pretty TouchFlo 3D GUI disappears in landscape mode and turns into a grid view.
You say that both dont do landscape switching using accelerometers, then you end your sentance and start of your next sentance saying that the 3D GUI disappears in landscape. You have not mentioned once that auto rotate works in the other menus, although inreality if works on the home screen as well.

Forget about the whitepaper, it's due for an update. X1 has an accelerometer. Check out the links a page or two back.
If you're referring to the Cellulare-Magazine video: why would the X1 have a dedicated button for switching between landscape and portrait mode (as he shows at about 2:10) when it features an accelerometer? Doesn't make any sense.
Also, if it features accelerometer-based auto-rotation, why is never shown in the video? It never reacts to any movement...
So, I very much doubt that it really uses an accelerometer.

You're slicing and dicing my words pretty hard there fella

This was not meant to be an all-around critique of the TouchPro.
I was only refering to what I saw in the link and video. I'm sure that since there's an accelerometer in the TouchPro, it is being used at least for some apps.
@nettl:
Yes, you're right, there's no visual evidence of an accelerometer in the X1. But the so-called portrait/landscape button on the X1 doesn't do anything either. Perhaps the accelerometer driver isn't ready yet, I don't know. I trust the hands-on reviewer when he say's it has one, though.

There would be a HDMI output port on the Device to hook it to an external HD unit, Similiar to Nvidias' APX2500
