I'd have thought that they'd award the S, rather than the ion, since it has a more unusual and modernist design. Oh well.

Well the definitely should get design awards Sony. How different are their designs to the competition?? Very. Samsung would never win a design award. Sony phones look unique to the competition. Odd that they awarded the Active though :-/

That's not surprising. The curvy design of the 2011 Xperias is miles ahead, compared to the new bricks.

I personally prefer the design of p and u over s, its just more easier, thanks to the placement of power switch. If only sony uses that talent for the internals, then it would be one amazing phone!
Btw, i think due to lack of nexus phone announcement and sony's announcement, could it be that google and sony announce will announce the next nexus? sony is the only company that doesnt have a flagship out that can compete, and so does nexus. samsung,htc, lg, huwai, etc. all have quadcores out. Only nexus and sony remain to have something to show.
