I also think it will be the S3 1.7Ghz.

Me too. I remember how we all thought SE would release a flagship last year, and then we got arc s. Starting to think that will happen again. We wait and wait for hayabusa but its nowhere to be seen

At least I will be pissed...

I will be on my 3rd XS soon, waiting for it to be repaired for the yellow "dot" problem, more like yellow half screen problem...

Got mine first few days it got relased in april and only had problems with it...

What if the XSL has 2gb ram? that seems the way to go right now it seems...

Very few devices (I can't think of any, but I'm sure there must one or two) have 2GB RAM already. I'm hoping for a 2GB RAM device though. Maybe a 10" tab with 2GB. But I'm not expecting it from Sony.

The Xperia SL has the same MSM8260 as Xperia S. This was confirmed with the leaked UA profile. Only thing it will be clocked at 1.7ghz like the Htc One S in Asia.

@moogoo

AFAIK Japanese phones don't work outside Japan because of the unique bands Japan uses.

@randomuser

the phone would work, but data would be spotty at best depending on the network I use. but basic GSM 2G bands are all supported.

Apparently NTT Docomo Android phones work with AT&T in USA. Even 3G works. But only if the phone is unlocked by Docomo.

A few Docomo phones have been spotted at the FCC, including the Xperia GX. Doesn't Docomo have a Global Passport service for international roaming?

@rubenos

It is mentioned. Cortex A8 CPU which clearly means S3. Well that doesn't even matter, it was leaked weeks back on Chinese forums and I posted the same here that there will be an upgraded Xperia S model with 1.7ghz MSM8260 and BT 4.0

Anybody who is expecting Qualcomm S4 in Xperia SL should stop dreaming.
