@ KBR & Rob, in your opinions, both of you having more experience with branded handsets, would you advise acquiring a branded SE headset or not? @ Celltech, thanx for the feedback. I've been comparing the 6680 to the k750i for some time now, and your reply clarifies matters somewhat.

I have been checking other threads, people are getting frustrated with branded handsets and I do pity them, why cant the SP's leave things the way it was.

6680 is crap!! trust me.
Theres no problem with branded handsets, I just hate the way they change the phones icons overall appearance, added to that the ringtone thingy... but I dont otherwise mind them!
o and If you want a 6680, get it now cos we getting branded ones soon, people seem to want them more than the standard one...would you believe that theres a waiting list for them!!!???

Damn, ppl actually queue for them? I've been patiently waiting for the p910i to become available on an affordable package, but if there's a good ebook reader available for the k750i that'll be my choice.

@786KBR and Kryptik:
I don't have a problem with the branded handsets, as long as I can change most of the customization back to what it should be. My next question (which nobody at SE/Vodacom/Vodacare, etc, etc can answer) is : do we have the same restrictions as the UK Vodafone handsets have (no MP3 as ringtones, etc)? I can't find the thread on Esato where this has been discussed before. I can use a MP3 as a ringtone. I can't see how to change the Internet/Vodafone Live button to go to a different page.
What other restrictions have you guys noticed? Anything other restrictions that I haven't noticed yet? What's your opinion on the Vodafone customisation?

For the most part I don't like any customisation on my phones. Some people absolutely love them, I don't. Search the thread for an issue that's been discussed to death.
