On Expansys site... it has said android 2.0 since first showed up and it also hase 16K colours... so I would not take this as accurate information

you're right, it did show 2.0 when it was first listed but they changed it to 1.6 which has now been changed back to 2.0, one could guess that it's had updated information from SE (along with the updated, seemingly in-line with other sellers', release date). I know the info is possibly incorrect but I was hoping for some sort of insider confirmation.

Don't know if anyone has noticed but there's a developer commenting on the video who states that the X10 will be released with 1.6 not 2.0 or 2.1.

A couple of weeks later, on 13 April, Expansys will start selling the tiny Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini pro and the even tinier X10 mini. The X10 mini pro can be yours for 340 GBP (375 euro) while the keyboard-less X10 mini will cost 40 GBP less, 300 GBP (or 331 euro).
Two more Sony Ericsson devices are about to start shipping within a month. The Vivaz, which is already available for preorder, will hit the shelves on 12 March on Vodafone network. The long awaited Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is also expected to become available in either March (at T-Mobile UK) or maybe sometime in April (at Vodafone UK).

I got email from Indosat that the Xperia X10 will be available starting from April 5th, 2010...
And on today, March 3rd, 2010, as previous planned release date, I got only
the voucher for the handset, a proof that I have pre-ordered that.
Starting April 5th up to 18th, the X10 can be picked up at dedicated SE Shop.
The advantage of this pre-order is the price and some gifts/accessories.

SE have said shipping in Q1. They never stated that Indosat will be launch their version in Q1 - that of course is up to Indosat.

Well Expansys have brought their date forward and reduced the price so I am happy...
As for their changing viewpoint on the OS version, I was talking very tongue-in cheek when I said that I thought it might be being delayed to get Eclair... We can but dream.. However, from the Endgadget coverage of the press conference I feel fairly confident that the update or work arounds will come quite soon. And the creations/co-creations side looks even more interesting to me.
So on the whole I am pretty chuft with everything X10 related at the mo, even though it seems like we'll be aying the UK premium, perhaps and again this is probably me dreaming, we may be amongst the lucky territories to get the MW 600 in the box... Probably more chance of Eclair?!?
