He means promised and required update to 4.2.

I don't know what are you talking about the screen.
I could compare it to all leading devices like iPhone 5, SGS etc.
There is no quality difference, and in the gallery it's even better than the competition.

For me the update is great. The battery is very stable and slightly better than before.
I am also happy about the camera performance. I do alot of difficult lighting shots lately
and discovered that I can do it without a worry...

Really ?

So the extra 200mAh over Z is useless

Nope, I think the software isn't ready yet, Samsung had two things in mind
1- Launch with 4.2
2- Meet the deadline

They didn't have the time to optimize the big.LITTLE thing, and that's why the launch firmware has these problems... the problem is Samsung released it unfinished.. sometimes when you don't have time, just turn off non important features and focus on the core things or just delay or bring another SKU ( like the ready Snapdragon one )... but Samsung thinks that their TouchWiz things are better than core experience !!

Guys,

The new firmware "10.1.1.A.1.253" is available in India. Just saw it on their site. Will try to update it tonight.

What fw is your GS4 on? I'm on XXUAMDE and battery life has been simply outstanding, only heat up I get is when playing HD games or taking long HD1080P videos.

The affected regions seem to have recieved a XXUAMDE1 Kies and OTA update to fix the issues, so just try updating your phone through one of them.
