3200 and 3700 both are 3.2 MP cams and price diff is almost 1000/-

Then get the 3200 vin, from what i saw on the nikon website, the 3700 only has 3 or 4 extra shooting modes like sephia,b/w... etc, it depends on whether u will use them. And 3700 has a slightly better battery life when u are using the LCD as a viewfinder
