Ok.
I am confused now.
My friend has a K750 with R1N035 firmware.
So far he has not encountered any problems.
I found out that the camera quality is better than my R1A044.
(the auto setting is working better especially the white balance).
But, as already stated by someone here, there's a little bit noise when playing and hearing a slow song.
As I did not tested in a very quiet room, I just can say that the noise was not so loud.
But I am afraid if i play it in a quiet room, the noise will soar.
My K750i's firmware is R1A044.
The reboot and crash problem still exist.
The crash problem mostly occurs when i activate the camera/video.
The reboot problem mostly occurs everyday.
Still weighting the good and bad of upgrading to R1N035.
I really need advices now.
Thanks.

I have 2 K750's and 1 W800, all R1N035
All working perfectly, never had a single crash on any.
And the noise when playing a very silent song, even in the quietest room, is nothing to speak of imho. It may just as well be part of the sourcematerial, and the K750 is simply just able to reproduce it because of the high quality of the hardware and the headset.
Allways remember that the better the HiFi equipment the more evident and clearly any errors in the source are revealed.
Playing mp3 which is a compressed and low fi source, from a true HiFi perspective, will sound poorer and poorer the better the HiFi equipment its played on.
Try playing an mp3 on a HigQ home HiFi system, and compare it to a CD, and you will laugh about the term "near cd quality" as often used about 128kbits mp3. Its ridicoules from a HiFi perspective. But most just compare playing on some low fi computer speakers, which cannot reproduce any differences between a CD and a 128kbits mp3.

GoodW1ll
why you did not update to R1L when it was available? but as i know, R1A firmware was very unstable.

A quick nOOb question:
If I get my phone unlocked for any sim, will I still be able to update via SEUS or ill I encounter problems?
And if I did encounter probs, would I still be able to take it to a service centre or would they not want to know cos I got it unlocked?
Thanx in adnvance

Well it doesn´t matter if the mp3-player has gotten "better" in theory, after a firmware upgrade, when it sounds worse.
And we all have different experiences from the newer firmware. Some of us do not experience any problems but many of us do. And we are several that can clearly hear that the sound has gotten worse when listening to songs in low volume or has gotten sqrewed up sound using the megabassfunction.
The bottomline is: The mp3 player sound has gotten a lot worse in sound quality, for serveral of us.
I have used the same settings as i did before my upgrade and the sound is now much worse. And my hearing is not super, just ordinary.
And obviously: The only instrument you should use to measure the sound quality is your ear (if you have a fairly good hearing)

You should be able to update via SEUS just as before with no extra problems - or at least I haven't with my unlocked K750i

@mwjdavies
Be careful, when you unlock your phone you have to change the CDA; if you don't, when you update using SEUS, you will have your phone blocked again!!!

I didnt speak for you or several others, I only gave my personal opinion on the subject, and added some general opinions about HiFi.
I fully respect your opinion, as I trust you respect mine.
Personally I dont find the Megabass to have much to do with HiFi, thus I dont use that, but have manually set the equalizer to my liking.
And while I do agree that there are a bit of hissing, that I would also like removed, and hopefully it will in a future firmware, its still not enough to ruin my day, or to make me want the buggy crashing R1A firmware instead.
And just for the record HiFi is actually something measureable, it simply means "as close to the original as possible", this can be measured, and anything that change the sound like, equalizers, megabass, poor adconverters, headsets, mp3 compression, etc. takes it further away from being HiFi. The term HiFi is not defined by what the individual perception of good sound is. Like you say this is entirely up to the ears that listens to the music. You may find one sound to be great, I may find another sound to be great, but neither opinion makes it HiFi, and one thing thats for certain is that mp3 at 128kbits has nothing to do with HiFi.
If you find that the sound is terrible with the new firmware, then I cannot argue with that, thats your opinion, and I respect that, but personally I dont find it that terrible.

Hi, I am new to the W800i firmware, so I was wondering if someone can tell me whether firmware versions are network/brand dependent? i.e can you upgrade to the latest firmware no matter which network you are on thru' SEUS? I am on O2 Uk (unlocked), if that helps.
I also have a k700i and know that this phone was network dependent when it came to upgrading firmware; each network had it's own firmware version...

I am not an audiophile but I did notice the noise/hissing problem while hearing slow/quiet song with R1N035.
To confirm that, i copy the same song from my friend R1N035's to my R1A044's and play it.
With my R1A044 I did not notice the noise/hissing.
Actually before I wrote this thread, I was about to upgrade my firmware, but after reading some threads regarding the noise problem I cancelled my decision for the time being until the new firmware out.
I like to hear mp3 songs and radio with my K750i.
It's the noise problem that make me think twice to upgrade.
But with my current firmware, the crash/reboot problem really make me think hander.
