I can still trust a terrorist but never the cops.
It's alright, that phone wasn't meant to be with me. This time, I'll cover the phone with insurance as it hardly takes Rs.1-2k.

Does the new update brings good display? as in people were talking about greyish UI and all?
What about flipping homescreen fluidness? because I remember that's the only place where there was slight lag.

Has anyone had a problem with wifi tethering after the update.
Am I the only one?

full brightness + new update = no more washed out colors.
The difference between before and after update is indeed noticeable to everyday users.
waiting more updates like these from Sony in the future.

Just updated, rooted and re-applied the DoCoMo power widget mod, the black status and nav bar is now stock, the screen angles are the same, software won't fix that, Bravia engine has been tweaked so there is less of the grotesque pinks/purples in the gallery. Feels even faster and smoother, I didn't think it could, but it does.
I've not had any problems tethering, this message is sent from my mother-in-law's ipad tethered to my Z.
Worthwhile intermediary update, often the small updates bring no features and minor fixes, this is actually a god update.

Cameraphone Super - Test: Low-Light Indoors Pictures
(
Nokia 808 Vs
Samsung G S IV Vs
Sony Xperia Z Vs
Samsung G Note II Vs
Apple iPhone 5 Vs
SE C901 Vs
SE Elm)
Minor notes:
* The various cameraphones have very different angles of view, i.e. some cover a much smaller arc in front of the lens. This, in part, explains why the subjects - all cropped to the same degree - appear different sizes in the comparisons. The other factor is, of course, the resolution the photos were taken in.
* The Nokia 808 was set at 8 megapixels (in its PureView Creative mode), to better match the resolutions of the other camera phones here (13MP, 13MP, 8MP, 8MP, 5MP and 5MP respectively).
* All phones were left on NIGHT SHOT MODE throughout, apart from manually controlling flash on/off for the low light test.
Nokia 808: 2,70Sec, ISO 400
Sony Xperia Z: 1/8Sec, ISO 800
Samsung Galaxy S IV: ? s, ISO ? (In picture mode multiple exposures are ostensibly recombined into one image)
Samsung Galaxy Note II: ? s, ISO ? (In picture mode multiple exposures are ostensibly recombined into one image)
Apple iPhone 5: 1/15Sec, ISO 3200
Sony Ericsson C901: 1/2Sec, ISO 400
Sony Ericsson Elm: 1/2Sec, ISO 80
Comments welcome, as always.

@tapas123
Check this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283673.
Basically the method means downgrading to the old FW, flashing a recovery (no unlocking bootloader necessary), then flashing a prerooted new FW through recovery. It's quite straight forward and it works.
