The first digits are the areacode and the XX is the same in both phonenumbers.
So when B calls to me I've gets A's name plus (+) behind it in the display.
It can be very irritating when you dont see the (+) before you answer.

@doublecheese's right this happened with the P900, 910 and has been inherited by the P990.
It's quite irritating, we have offices with the same last 7 digits in different cities, the only difference being the city codes. Regardless of which city office calls me the caller id keeps identifying it as the first office in my list.

If I hit 'Synchronise Now', it syncs all 268 contacts.
If I make a change to a contact within outlook and then hit sync again, it removes 250 of them from my phone.
If I use the advanced Sync, it sometimes works.
I'm with Vodafone, so no firmware updates available yet.

It sounds like you have your Conflict Policy set up wrong. Go to Sync Manager and you will find Conflict Policy as one of the options on the left-hand side. After the initial forced syncronisation when I first set up my P990 I have always set mine as "Use the item last modified" and have not had any problems.

How do u open web pages in the in built web browser in normal java script format, u know where i can scroll the page not only up down but also left right (the way it would open on PC). whenever i open any page it fits it to the screen. the enable java script mode is also ticked in settings.
And my phone has totally stopped ringing the assigned ringtones. it only rings default tone, always! Any suggestions???
Anyone facing the same problems???
One more thing, what is the max memory card u guys have tried or using in p990. i'm using 1gb at present and wanted to upgrade to a 2gb one. do u think it would support it without hanging or slowing down?? and does the sony ms hi speed work fine with phones, never tried. and i'm only getting hi speed in 2gb. please advice.

Is it the high speed one?? Cause i'm not sure if high speed works well with phones, generally it is for psp, cameras etc.

For all P990 experienced users, I'm a newbie here, does your phone pause music playback and ring your assigned ringtone during an incoming call, as mine just beeps and vibrate without pausing music playback, i hate this feature, is there a way to change it, please!!!

hi, i am using 4gb card from sandisk .
when i try to play large video files more than 50-60 mb , it takes around 1-2 minutes to start playing....
do you experience such problems with sony card..
other than this every thing works fine for me...

no i dont have any trouble at all.. i currently have ongbak2 on my phone.. divided in 2movies @350mb.. runs perfectly.. startup time of movie is about 10-20seconds
