New firmware is much faster, notably at boot up.

I don't know if this is related but since upgrading, my 3G coverage on O2 has disappeared...

The HPM-82 bug still isn't fixed...
A bad system connector isn't helping...

The phone did a warm restart ("to improve performance") just now in the MIDDLE of sending a group SMS...

I don't know if I'll trade these for faster text input.

@ares and popolou,

i did what popolou told and deleted the .th file that was inside that folder no the problem seems to have gone, great news.

regarding the freeze on the video call, i have not yet tried video calling on mine but i will and report back.

Thanks guys for working that problem out with me

oh and by the way the "crash" when changing the volume on the video viewer is still there

No problem, just glad to see you;re back up and running.

Guys, can i bump this in case someone else has come across this too?

Quote:Been tinkering with the "new" firmware since i dumped the Voda shyte and quite glad to say that the phone is more reliable than ever. However, can someone confirm whether or not this is the case: -

I have noticed that when creating a new SMS (flip-closed), the default font size is set to Large. When changing this via the Editing screen to medium it seems the change is no longer saved for all new SMS's.

I distinctly recall that each of my new messages are created using the Medium setting, yet now it seems it is all defaulted to Large. Is this duplicated with anyone else?

Hopefuly this can be replicated, but dunno where that would leave us!

Regards

Popolou

Hi
Im experiencing a problem since I upgraded the firmware.
Sometimes the phone is giving me an ERROR which is called - WATCHERMAIN Thread - Error Code 11.

When this happens I noticed that if someone tries to send me an sms, I wont recieve it till I switch the phone off then back on again

Tried re-upgrading the firmware but still having the same problem.

Please can someone try to help me with this problem.

alpha, it shouldn´t crash on volume adjusting during video playing, and less you push the jog up and down like mad...for normal usage, it should work fine

After a restart, typically I get 16 plus RAM
Run and quit Jabp Lite, I still get back 16 plus RAM, so no memory loss due to this app.
Run Messaging, RAM down to 10 plus, But quiting Messaging only recover 1-2 MB RAM

However, I found out that setting the Messaging storage to the minimum say 1 hour, I get 17 plus RAM and after starting Messaging I get 14 plus RAM.

1. Messaging app is definately causing memory loss;
2. Setting the minimum storage for Messaging saves precious RAM

So for those who dont need to keep very long storage for sms, keep it to the minimum to save RAM

And for SE, time to rectify your Messaging app so as not to lose memory!!!
