I have found one big difference between R5A16 and R5A17. When you choose your shortcuts with flip closed there was no "edit" button on the R5A16. You could only add and NOT remove any

I wonder about this as well. My guess is that the software is fast approaching the limits of the installed RAM? Also depends I suppose on what the future holds for UIQ and whether the latest version of this software could be handled by the 990 memory etc.
(after a day using the latest firmware I'm very pleased all the improvements mentioned elsewhere but disappointed that mem leakage hasn't really changed at all - at least not on my phone.

I just wanted to let you guys know that if you hold down the @ key (internet button, right hand side) in flip closed, when you open the flip the shortcuts are available in Opera.

Well, I absolutely think so. Right now they are working on rev. R6

Just wants to add two more things. The java apps are starting REALLY fast now, and I think the music volume is a bit louder now even with the earplugs. Have tried with my HBH-DS970 and im not 100% sure, but it sounds to me a little bit louder

Guys, you can count with at least one more fw, r6 and i guaranty it will be a huge surprise, because some of the base code will change, and finally they will be able to attack ram problem hard. Also, opera is preparing the new opera mobile 9 that should come in future fw to our phones. Regarding memory leaks on this r5 fw, i read what lisa from sm pro said: raw ram values whe see in this fw do not mean tere isnt less memory leaks - the fact his multitsking capability has increased and the phone is stable even when system reports 0 pct ram

You can access the virtual keyboard in landscape mode using the little options box on the screen.
