not really, the optimum bit rate for QVGA res is about 700-800 which means 100KB for 1 second.

of course but here, the résult image is 2 MP (like K750/K800/K810..). I've hope that the final pano will be more than past phones.

there are new photos on JAMPB and there is an option in the camera interface "ISO" finally

So this is where M2 / mircoSD card (and probably battery and SIM) seem to go in. Very nice solution.
This eliminates the need of the whole back part to be openenable (my original presumption), which would have allowed dust to get into between camera lens and its protective glass.
