@AbuBasim

Have to ask you something. The picture taken with 902 showing some buildings here http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=156144&start=255 , it looks like the buildings on the left lean to the right and the one on the right lean to the left. Only the one in the middle eem to be stright. It almost look like the picture was taken through a bulb.

Any idea why (were you on the move or something) ?

@Arne Anka,

No, I was standing still. It is due to the wide angle lens of the i-mobile 902 and this can be annoying sometimes. If you take pictures of tall buildings using a wide angle lens then these tend to look warped, narrowing off upwards.

@Plankgatan

Great pictures once again, especially the 1st and 2nd.

Have you considered taking K850i 3MP snaps and comparing them with your K810i?

@all those who complain about resized pics, there are heaps of non-resized photos around the place where you can see what the quality is like. And they aren't dismal by any means. They are quite good. Not as clear or noise free as the imobile, but let's remember the imobile is CCD based and the only camera on the market atm that is. It also has a much limited market compared to K850 (so for many of us it's not an option). Just because the K850 isn't as clear as the imobile is no reason to bag the K850.

It's fair to compare K850 and N95 (and imho K850 comes out on top overall) but not so fair to compare it against the imobile which uses different technology. CCD is still better quality than cmos in all but high end DSLR's and some prosumers.

The other factor to remember when looking at full size pics, it's very easy to make a crap photo by 1. covering the sensors, or 2. not holding the camera steady. Cheap digicams of any variety compensate for high noise at high iso's by lowering shutter speed as much as possible while still within the human limits of ability to hold the device steady. If you don't concentrate hard on keeping cheap digicams steady, you will often get unfocused photos, not through the fault of the camera.

I have seen many such K850 photos taken by those with a shaky hand. When you look at the good samples, they are clear and sharp. So I can only conclude that the camera is capable of taking clear photos, and that when it doesn't it's the user's inability to hold the camera steady.

I found exactly the same with my K800 - it REALLY pays to be careful that you are holding the camera steady when you take a photo. I have many pics that would be clear and sharp if only I had paid more attention while pressing the shutter. I also have many K800 pics sharp as a knife, when I WAS paying attention.

Plankgatan is a great photographer, and he is showing us what is possible with the K850. I don't think he is hiding anything at all. It's up to any of you to browse the many K850 photo reviews (or this thread even), were there ARE full size pics for viewing.

Never seen buildings lean that much with any other cam phone, so I had to ask. Thanks for you answer.

Full size is important when printing the photos. If you have a photo you are really satisfied with and want to print it, to hang it on the wall in your living room, then which file would you print: the 800x600 scaled down image you posted at Esato, or the 2592x1944 full size? (Hint: 800x600 printed on A3 paper makes each pixel visible without using a magnifying glass.)

If you only ever look at your snaps on a computer monitor then the number of megapixels is not important. Why go for a 5MP K850i when the 0.3MP K220 should be enough? And you'll save a bundle of cash!

When my i-mobile 902 breaks, I may buy the K850i. But I will not be printing any more A3 blow-ups. The K850i will be good only for A5. The purple fringing becomes too apparent if printed at larger scale.
