@plankgatan
Yep that's what i've been saying all along: K850 i a little bit to sensitive so it's a bit harder to just point and shoot to get a sharp photo. It can, off course, be done if you hold it really still(it's not that of an effort). But i think after a new firmware it will be better.

@ mongoose
Guess what? I'm not going to post my W810 pics with 2.0 MP and AF.
Here is my S710a 1.3 MP with no AF.... Let's see a NOKIA 1.3 do this.
BY THE WAY.... IF YOUR GOING TO complain about resizing, click on the link below... the full resolution is even better : )

I thought this thread is about K850 vs N95 photo.
hmm...The evidences must be so conclusively stacked against K850 (that it has a worse cam than N95

) that SE fans now find the need to bring in their K750/800, W800/810 and S710 photos to the fight.

i guess it shows SE has the potential, but fails to use it.

Hey! you've missed my point. I have said the K750/W800 shots look just as good minimised as the K850. I'm not surprised your 1.3 shots look good. And, I'm not surprised they look good at full size either. I even posted photos from a W800 as proof. My whole point is that the K850 shots are very poor at full size and that is therefore not a very worthy 5mp camera - in my opinion. Others disagree and that's fine with me.

wow, u guys still at this. faintz. I think all these aren't going to be conclusive. Sometimes N95 is better, sometimes k850i is better. Also depends on the photographer.
Just taking a look at these two pics, I can't see the details on the number plate in the N95 pic, but can at least figure out something on the number plate of the k850i. Though i must agree the purple fringing and colors of k850i in this pic seem bad. Looks over-exposed.
The photos from Plank are definitely better than those on the websites (even the shrunk photos are better than the shrunk photos on this review site).

Out of curiousity, I took a look at that review website. See the following 2 pics:
N95

k850i
http://mobilarena.hu/dl/rev/2007-09/1716/k850i5.jpg
Clearly, k850i is much much better, and I can also say it puts to death the argument that N95 is better.
I'm pretty sure many people will argue that N95 is capable of taking a better quality pic than that shown here. I would also agree, becos I've seen better pics from the N95.
So at the end of the day - what's the point!!

^ There's no point actually because no one will never get everyone to agree on the winner
Anyway I hope the next K850 firmware improves the picture quality in whatever areas its lacking. SE's Cyber-Shot flagship phone should be the clear winner in any camera comparisons (specially after being delayed so much), even being a winner by a small margin is not good enough.

I guess all you'll be doing with your K850 is take MACRO shots?!

Its EXTREMELY UNFORTUNATE that SE forgot to provide a WORKING FLASH (i'm referring to the flash sync problem) in their 'flagship' phone...
I picked up K850i yesterday taking a chance that the flash sync problem with not be there in October stock. My first shot proved me wrong.
I was so disgusted that I returned the K850i immediately. incurring a loss of about US$100 in the process and picked up a Nokia N95 8GB.
I agree that the K850 has a better camera but flash sync problem is UNACCECPTABLE. I am really disappointed with SE this time.
I fact, this is probably the most euphemistic post I've ever written online... the kind of words I wanted to use to describe my experience would have had me banned from Esato for ever.
